Plugging new router into old one to maintain old network

Hi. I have just had sky ultra fibre fitted which is great (and comes with a new router with a new network obvs.) However my ring flood light on the top of my house is obviously still linked to the network from my old router and I cannot get up there to reset it and tell it to connect to the new network. So I want to maintain the network from the old router and connected it to the new router with an Ethernet cable. Devices can once again connect to the old network but have no internet. Do I need to go into the 198 or whatever address of the old router and tell it to do something different? Thanks

You can change the SSID & password of the new router to match the old. Then everything should just connect as before. At least you could last week when I first set mine up. I went live yesterday & the router received a firmware update. Now things like manual WiFi channel selection appear to have been locked to auto.

@farmgorgon

Following a firmware update, you may have to do that in the app.
