Persimmon Homes only allows Fibrenest in our new home but I am still contracted to sky

As stated above we have reserved a plot with persimmon homes and we were told the only fibre we could use is their own company (Fibrenest).

Looks like our house will be built before my current contract with sky ends. On the basis I cannot simply switch from my current house to my new house would sky let me cancel my contract early without any fees?

Has anyone else experienced this?

You'd have to negotiate that with Sky: strictly speaking I suspect they could hold you to the contract terms regarding penalties because you are effectively choosing to move to somewhere they cannot provision.  I recall other posts where such charges haven't been levied though.

@RossHendy I agree with @TimmyBGood Sky do not legally have to release you from contract in these circumstances but have been known to do so if asked.

Did you get any luck with Sky on this?
