Overhanging Broadband wires

Sky provide us with broadband. However we have overhanging wires that are getting caught in a tree outside our house and some have come loose. The council don't want anything to do with it and say I have to contact my provider. What do I do and who do we contact?

@Smittymagic1986 asduming the wires are not dangerous contact Sky if they are your provider they will talk to Openreach who actually own the cabling. They may or may bot do anything and if the owner of the tree declines to trim it things get complicated.

The tree is council owned hence the reason I got in touch with the council. They said I have to contact my provider which is sky.

@Smittymagic1986

If cabling is actually detached or, for example, could be snagged by a tall vehicle, it can be reported directly to Openreach
