Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router. This has been coming and going for a couple of months. Last month openreach came out and said they had fixed the issue. I have tested the broadband and it has said that it is working fine. But our signal keeps dropping upstairs in the house and the internet goes on and off randomly its a nightmare.
These are our router stats not sure what else to do?

@sharnicus Have you restarted your hub recently? As the uptime is only just over 20 minutes.

Re: Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
@sharnicus It would be best to post them again tomorrow morning so that we can see if the hub has remained online for a full 24 hours.

Re: Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
What do you have connected via ethernet? You have collision packets on the LAN interface

Re: Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
Thank you for your reply, here is today's stats. I am afraid I don't know what is meant by "collision packets" on the LAN interface. Could you explain it to me as Im useless with tech and the terminology. Thank you

Re: Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
In a network everyone must take their turn in sending data. A packet collision is when two devices try to send at the same time and collide. This can cause symptoms like a 'network stall' which would feel similar to your internet dropping out for a short period.
This is why I asked if you could tell me what you have connected to your router via ethernet as we can narrow the devices down.

Re: Our wifi signal keeps dropping . Despite resetting our router.
Thank you for explaining. We literally had a BT wifi extender on there, which I have just disconnected as that hasn't been working for weeks. There is nothing else.
