Our internet has not been working for over 24 hrs despite the sky tests saying everything is ok

I have unplugged it several times and reset at the hub and all connected devices 

we cannot establish why we cannot get the internet on cable or WiFi.

If as sounds likely and you have a fault on the line connecting your hub to the exchange if the service checker does not show that Sky are aware of a fault affecting your line then call them to report it.
