Order placed on 13 August, £5 paid, but no order reference or activation date

Hi all,

I placed a Sky Broadband order on 13 August and paid £5 upfront.
By 15 August, I received an email from Sky saying there’s a delay with getting my broadband up and running. The email mentioned they’re waiting on an update from their third-party engineer team, but it didn’t include any order reference or a new activation date.

When I log in to MySky, I still can’t see any order details.

 

Has anyone experienced something similar? 😑

How long did it take for Sky to actually update the order and give an activation date? Any tips on

 

what I should do next would be really appreciated.

Hi @GinGin_Ng   Don't you have an existing broadband service with another provider? Sky are clearly waiting for Openreach, which is completely out of their control. It doesn't sound like a simple switch.

Thanks for your reply! Just to clarify, I’m a new customer and don’t have any other broadband.

 

I guess waiting for Openreach is just part of the process…

but it’s a bit frustrating not knowing when I’ll actually get an order reference or activation date.

 

Has anyone been in a similar situation & how long did it take for Sky to give an order reference and activation date?

Any tips would be appreciated!

@GinGin_Ng Enter you address into the BTW checker post your details up but hide your Address from view.

@GinGin_Ng You are going to have to do the call to sky for that one! The Forum is a Cust helps Cust system for customers that require but you are not talking or dealing with any sky personnel on this Forum.
