Option 61 or PPPOE - Sky FTTP 500Mb

Hi,

Can anyone let me know which is the suggested authentication method when using a third party router in Ireland? I'm trying to help my dad set up his router but I'm in the UK.

My understanding is that PPPOE is for ADSL?

Also does Sky Ireland using the same option 61 credentials as UK routers?

Sky Ireland do use PPPoE whilst Uk use PPPoA for adsl and dhcp option 61 for fttc and fttp

What router does your dad have

The credentials are

Username       anything@skydsl

Password        anything

VLAN ID           10

Then definitely PPPoE using the following

VLAN ID 10

Thanks a lot, these settings worked after several days of debugging.

I had to restart the UDM Pro after saving the settings.

I also have the UDM Pro connected directly to the ONT, no Sky Router in between.

I'm in Ireland.
