Openreach fitted a new external box three weeks ago but said they needed a hoist to connect it to the telegraph pole and would be in touch when this was available. We've heard nothing.

Unfortunately there's no way to check progress directly with Openreach: you'll need to contact Sky, but they will only have the information which Openreach has seen fit to share with them. Realistically the work will progress when Openreach has the required resources available: nationally they are attempting north of 80,000 new FTTP installations a week.
