Openreach fault caused me to cancel but not sure what do I do next?

So I just moved into a new build apartment last Friday the 26th of January, I got a new 500mbs fibre deal with sky and got the router on Tuesday 30th.

After installing the router into the apartment's Openreach ONT box I couldnt get any internet, so I went through the support system via the MYSKY app , which said there was an external issue that an engineer needed to look at. The next day I received a text saying the issue needed investigating further, and that I would get a reply the next day (Thursday 31st), Which I didn't, so I have had no connection for the past 3 days, with no internet light showing. I called Sky, and they said that the Open reach engineer found that the open reach cables have been installed incorrectly and that they would have to cancel my order. So I cancelled the order through the cancellations department, then spoke to the tech team, who said I would have to wait 5 days and then contact Sky again to make a new order. I

I work from home so I need the issue resolving soon. I was also not told whether I would get my activation fee back. The lady who cancelled the order also said I had 60 days to return the equipment, but I wasnt given any more information on how to.

What do I do now? I have to wait 5 days, then call sky again to make a new order, but how do I get the connections that openreach have installed incorrectly fixed? As it stands I am not sure when I will get up and running with internet

@LevLive the apartment building has to have.the correct equipment to link the Openreach feed to the building to each apartment which is most likely missing. What should have happened is  Sky should have placed a new order with Openreach instead you cancelled uyour order with Sky. Unfortunately you are back to square one. Sky will refund you once you have returned the hub but you need to place an order with Sky or another ISP and start from scratch which will involve a delay assuming the developers have installed the correct infrastructure..

You msy find mobile broadband a better option.
