Same as me , was told they don't have the equipment , was promised fibre in November last year, 4 months down the line still nothing done. I'm now paying more for the old copper wire as a temporary internet. How does that work ?

Hi All
I am having the same issue, order activation date is 30th Apr and no activity from Openreach.
I checked the broadband checker portal of BT wholesale, details look fine but myhelprequests.sky.com says that "Openreach has informed us that they currently do not have the equipment in place to connect your Broadband and Talk to your phone exchange. They are looking for the best way to get you connected. You will receive a text with an update on your order on 24/04/2025."
Doesnt look like I will get access the fibre soon? I have already placed a request for cancellation of my copper broadband, so will be without internet soon. Is there anyway I can get this expedited as I work from home.

That's why 'cancellation' is inadvisable: the proper process is an ISP switch.
Is there anyway I can get this expedited as I work from home.
Sky Broadband is a domestic service: choosing to use it to WFH brings no additional urgency.

Waited 5 months with the " open reach don't have the equipment" excuse , rang to cancel, bloke on the phone said I don't blame you.
The day after I cancel a post card from open reach saying your work has been complete ( Not even joking) , went with virgin. Disgusting
