Openreach delays - should Sky engineer date have been moved?

So, I've had a couple of texts from Sky saying that due to delays with Openreach it is taking longer than usual.

The activation date and Sky engineer visit date is still showing as 7th December.

However, the message I received from Sky yesterday said that I'd receive another text about my order on 9th December.

Should this mean that the 7th December date is now wrong and should be changed/updated by Sky?

Its unlikely you will have any sort of install on the 7th if Sky have said you'll get an update on the 9th.

If you go to this site, use the address checker, then post the table & text below the table back here we can see why there may be a delay to your install.

'UG partial Direct in Ground', so digging is required to lay a new duct for fibre-optic cable.  Realistically at this time of year with poor weather, very short daylight hours and increased rates of personnel absence that's always likely to be a potential cause of delay.

If any part of the dig is outside your own property boundary (particularly in pavement or road) there are additional factors.

Re: Openreach delays - should Sky engineer date have been moved?

I've now just received a text...

"Hi, this is Openreach. We recently attended your property and discussed that further work is required. Before we can complete the work that is needed, we require you to sign a Permission to work, which was sent to you via email on 04/12/24. If you can please return this, we can take the next steps in getting you set up to enjoy your FTTP service."

I've not received anything. Or spoken to anyone from them...
