Openreach cancelled my appointment without consulting with mr or giving me s as my reason?

Had Openreach appointment scheduled for today from 8 am to 1 pm.
They never showed up.
When I checked  online on my Sky account I can see today's appointment cancelled  new appointment booked for 8th of May -  no explanation given. 
What a shambles ?

Been without broadband connection since 2nd of April!

That would typically be due to either personnel or equipment absence, of perhaps a failure to secure permission to work in the case of ducts in road or pavement.  Unfortunately there's nothing an ISP can do, because their staff are not permitted to touch the Openreach network.
