Open reach engineer, do they call and give a time slot

I'm tryna move home and I have the keys to my new place where I am getting my broadband transferred to in a couple of weeks, I've had a text that an open reach engineer will connect the line and arrive between 8-1...as I am not actually living there yet as that is the weekend im

moving my stuff does anyone know if they call or text to give you a more accurate time slot...it's literally a 10 min drive away but obviously would be preferable to not sit in an empty house for 5 hours 😬

@Tracy24582  They may on the day give you a heads-up if they are delayed or that they are on their way to you. But you would have to be at the property for them to complete the work.

If someone has helped give them Like.
