Once a month my sky hub drops out. If I am in I can unplug it , reboot it and it works,

My sky hub drops out about once a month. If I unplug it and reboot it the hub works again but after a few weeks same thing happen. I run Alexa, Blink and Tapo thru the hub .  It is a pain when I am out the house as everything goes offline. Wi-Fi devices show as connected to the hub so the issue appears to be with the hub connecting to the fibre box/modem on the wall. Sky hub shows one orange light when it happens

@TedsBark very unlijely anything can be done about an occasional line drop but the hub should reconnect on its own so it is odd it doesn't. What do the lights on the Openreach ONT show when the connection is down?

@TedsBark occasional line drops do happen as systems are updated but as I posted before the hub should reconnect on its own. It is strange your's doesn't so you msy want to do a factory reset by pressing and hokding in the reset pin until the power led flashes then release. The hub will return to its factory setting but it msy clear the fault. If it doesnt talk to Sky to get the unit swapped.

Thanks for the reply, I will try the reset. Can I ask , if I do a factory reset does it effect the password ( I had changed this )

will I need to reconnect all my Wi-Fi devices ( Blink etc.) or will they pick up automatically

@TedsBark yes unfortunately the reset will return the password to the default but you should be able to change it to the one you currently use.
