Odd event with Sky Max Hub and attached devices.

I have a Sky Max Hub. I have connected via WiFi, a Sky Q box, a Eufy home base, a Sonos sound bar , some Tapo Link smart plugs, 3 Meross smart switches and a collection of Apple things eg iPhones and iPads.

I also have a Hive bridge and Philips Hue Bridge connected to the router via Ethernet.

All have been working fine.

I went away for a week and when we came back at the weekend, a few things were not working. Some of the smart plugs and smart switches were not working. Most were fixed by unplugging for a while but a couple needed setting up again. Then the Sky Q box started losing connection to the router. I had to go through the process of reconnecting it and in the process, all sorts of weird things started happening. Most devices connected via WiFi had to be restarted but the oddest thing was that the devices connected via Ethernet stopped working too. For example, the Hue bridge and my Hive heating bridge lost connection to the router. After many restarts of the router, the bridges and anything else that I could restart, I seem to have most things working again. Except, with the Hue app, I have it working on my phone but not on my iPad. with Eufy, the cameras are viewable but not the doorbell (although any footage it records is viewable in the app).

The point is, something seems to have happened over the week that has wreaked havoc on all my connected devices and I cannot think what might have happened. There are so many different problems that defies my understanding of what sequence of events might have resulted in this. The only connection to each issue is the router.
Has anyone else ever had anything similar?

@jackiec99 That may be one you will never find out, power cut, router FW update, and with no reference, how long were you good and stable with everything before it went pear shaped.!?

@jackiec99 a possible explanation is your devices trying to connect to the Sky Q box's wifi hotspot rather than the Sky Max hub. Unlike earlier routers the white hubs do not support the old Sky Q mesh wifi so third party devices will no longer work when connected to the Q box's wifi hotspot. However what might have happened is when the  Q box lost its connection to the hub the hotspot will have broadcast the old Sky SSID which your devices may have connected to but no data can pass.

Re: Odd event with Sky Max Hub and attached devices.

Thank you both. The Sky Wifi thing could be the answer. I had not considered that.

Our Sky broadband is relatively new but has been stable and fast for a couple of months.

If I find a definitive answer I'll post it here.
