ONT red ALARM light – PON not lit, no fibre signal

Hi, I’ve lost my fibre connection and my ONT is showing a red flashing ALARM light with no green PON light at all. All the other lights are green. I’ve already tried the usual steps: Powered the ONT off and on (waited several minutes) Checked the fibre connector is fully seated Verified there are no sharp bends or damage to the fibre cable Restarted the Sky hub as well Nothing changed — the ALARM light stays red and the PON light never comes on. From what I understand, this normally means the ONT isn’t receiving a fibre signal from the network Could someone confirm if this needs an engineer or if there’s something else?

Hi @Chan1996

It does indeed sound like there is no light coming down the cable to your ONT. Have you tried running the line test on the My Sky app to see if it offers you an engineer?

I've tried running the test but all it says is

Sorry, there was a problem on our side testing your broadband

@Chan1996 You may just have to call sky, but also run the service checker via mobile data incase it flags up an area fault!

Can't connect to broadband and have a red light on your ONT

From the pinned post!

If you haven’t done it already use the below link to check to see if there are any broadband problems or outages nearby if enough time has passed for a fault condition to be displayed by the software test! This should determine if there's an identified fault affecting multiple households.
