ONT alarm light permanently red after powercut

Hi,

I had a powercut earlier today and router has no internet. The Alarm light on the ONT is permanently lit red. Power is steady green. Both LAN and PON are unlit.

It's been like this for a couple of hours. I've powered off the ONT, left it for 2-3 minutes and switched back on but no change.

Any ideas please?ONT.jpg

@nommis Have you tried to run the service checker to see if there is a known outage in the area or if it picks up any other fault?

Can you please run the service checker, this can be done either via the Sky app on mobile data or use the link below.
https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-broadband-diagnostic/sky-broadband-diagnostic

If it finds an external fault it should enable you to book an engineer.

After the service checker completes and if it comes back green all good can you click on broadband to run an updated test please. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If someone has helped give them Like.

If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

Thanks Highlinder,

I used the service shecker and was able to get it escalated to the network team.

Much appreciated.

Re: ONT alarm light permanently red after powercut

Had a text this morning saying case is closed as issue is resolved, which it isn't, and a phone number, 03448244110, to call if we need further assistance. I rang the number but the bot just wants me to go through all the checks again. SO FRUSTRATING!

Is there a way to say the problem hasn't gone away or do I have to start from scratch again?

Currently I am very, very unlikely to recommend Sky to anyone and will move to an alternative provider as soon as possible.
