We have had very bad internet drop outs for sometime, Had an engineer out and said I've never seen this problem before, talked to many sky agents trouble shooting with no Joy. new router, leads tried everything. when we tried to move provider we was told the ONT Serial don't match our property? There was two in the property and ours don't match either, Sky says if there was a missmatch I'd Not get no broadband whatsoever, but we was told that would be the reason for the poor connection even though tests in the line are coming back fine.
Can anyone help please?

That's true. The serial number is used to authenticate the connection. In other words, it's like the password. If it was wrong the connection would be rejected.

Re: ONT Serial don't match property
@SB20041984 The serial number is on the ONT, when you call sky, you can quote it and they can confirm yes/no to correct or not!
The dropping out etc is another ball game!

Thank you for your reply @JimM1 phoned them today she said she don't have access to that information and if it was a missmatch I wouldn't get no internet at all 👍🏻
