No phone socket in new house

So, I just recently purchased a new house and noticed there's no phone socket installed. I have already got my Sky hub 4.2 (Ultrafast broadband) and now currently waiting on Sky to activate the signal, which should be tomorrow, and was wondering if a phone cable is required for the use of broadband? I do have an openreach ONT installed from the previous tenants. I don't use a landline and don't require a home phone, and hoping I don't need an engineer to come out and install one.

Any responses would be very much appreciated?

@Clyner82 The Openreach ONT replaces all use of a phone socket. Your router plugs into the ONT for a broadband connection. Then if you want use of a phone you connect the phone to the phone port on the back of your hub.

@Clyner82

Note that you will need a Cat5e ethernet cable to link the ONT to the WAN ethernet port (#4) on the Sky Broadband Hub.  If you haven't previously had FTTP, Sky should have sent you one as their 'conversion kit' but they are easily obtained elsewhere in different lengths and colours.

@TimmyBGood , yep, I believe this is the one you're referring to? I plugged it into the router in slot 4 with the word WAN (in red) just above it. I'm expecting the signal to be activated by Sky tomorrow, so fingers crossed, and thanks for the advice on this as I feel more relaxed knowing I've got the help from you guys 👍
