Anyone any idea what I can do next?
my internet suddenly went off about 6.30 tonight. Router has a green Wi-Fi light but amber internet one.
afyer trying all the online 'help' suggestions I had no joy.
I rang sky and eventually got through. The lady I spoke to told me there was no obvious issue their end but she could see it wasn't working. She said it could be an openreach problem although they hadn't been informed of one.
She then said if there is an outage in the area they normally fix it within 2 working days! And if course it's a bank holiday on Monday!
I heed the internet for my work. Any idea what I can do? There are no outages reported in my area at all on either bt or openreach.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou have done the right thing in reporting it to Sky. Now you're in the hands of Openreach and like you say the forthcoming bank holiday may delay a fix. I'm afraid any working from home doesn't afford any kind of priority repair.
It's of little consolation at the moment but you may get some compensation for no connection. See this link re auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it (once it’s fixed).
edit: I think Openreach staff are on strike next Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Sorry.
