@ReubenTagoe

Have you reported the issue to Sky?

First thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

Same for me. Have reported it and just told it'll be 3 to 5 days until it is fixed. Apparently a technical issue. Absolute disgrace.

Openreach have a standard fix time of two working days and claim to achieve this in 80%+ of cases.

In case you aren’t already aware, the following link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).

@ReubenTagoe area based issues in the Openreacch network at this time of year are not uncommon and they will becfixed. How long thst takes is usually impossible to predict as itvdepends on what needs repairing. Sky usually know no more than you as Openreach dont provideca running commentary.

The cause could be last weeks storm, high winds and heavy rain inevitable cause issues with phone lines or damage like a car hitting a pole or taking out a street cabinet. Theft of cables for the value of the copper is quite common

It is frustrating but unfortunately there is nothing much you or Sky can do the speed things up.
