Hello, I've just joined Sky but although the broadband seems connected I can't access Internet. Sky started on 21st July but BT not switching off/over till 24th....Will this be the reason I can't get on? Am using the Sky box SR203. Thanks for any help.

@Highlinder....no BT was still on , I just disconnected theirs and set up the Sky Sr203, not sure why BT are waiting to 24th as Sky said my Internet switch over was 24th. Is that likely the issue? Thanks for replying.

Did you cancel with bt seperately before contacting sky?
Have you kept the same technology ie moved from bt vdsl fttc to the same sky package or have you upgraded to fttp thru sky?

Hi, switched to Sky who notified BT BT acknowledged this (sorry to see you go etc). Took all the BT stuff out. Sky was from 21st but for some reason BT emai says my thing with them ends on 24th. Sorry if I'm not too clear on this re terminology...75 yo and struggle typing on my phone. It's not my first rodeo though so I think I've set the Sky stuff up right...just wondered if it was because my BT doesn't end till 24th. Broadband working but can't access Internet is the message I get when I try to sign in on anything.

Have you tried the bt hub to see if it works ?
Can't think of any reason why bt are saying 24th or why sky/openreach are saying you are active.
Keep an eye on the sky hub on 24th and if the internet light is off or amber get back to us asap
