For the first time and on Christmas Eve the broadband in my home in Donegal isn't working. I culdn't reach anyone by phone. There is a constant red light on the hub. I need answers from someone as no-one in Sky is answering. Have trouble-shot using all the regular advice. Neighbours had broadband down last night too because of weather but weather is fine now. I am 17 years with Sky - I won't be afetr this if I don't get help straight away. I can't call or contact anyone or wait on anyone - it's Christmas. This needs to be resolved now. Help!

Find out morePhysical connection failure isn't typically aware of the calendar: it's likely that any other ISP using the same Open Eir circuit would be experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately the chances of it being resolved 'now' are negligible: as @Daniel0210 indicates there won't be network maintenance staff available until Wednesday at the earliest.

If there's an external fault then there's nothing you can do, other than logging a fault tomorrow and waiting for network maintenance availability.
