New to sky, broadband drop out

I know this has been asked, but I can only ring unresolved and unhappy customers...I hope that's not my case. Just turned on my router for the first time, connected the stream puck via cable, connected TV via cable....WiFi cuts off every few minutes. Ran the broadband check and never shows any issue. I work from home and can't do with cruddy connection so does anyone have any help they can offer please? Thanks
