New sky customer - broadband, no connection

<span;>Just street 1pm today Virgin Internet disconnected following message that open reach work completed and BB now active.

<span;>Today is activation day. I've followed all the steps, the WiFi light is green but internet won't light up or connect at all.

<span;>It says they will connect Internet before midnight today as its the day of activation but still nothing yet and not holding my breath.

<span;>Really poor service so far.

<span;>No Internet for work or the kids. Please log as a complaint. Been a very stressful day.

<span;>Done everything asked.

<span;>Grey cable plugged into the port, no need for the black wire, then connected to router.

<span;>Should have stuck with Virgin I feel (as will take another 2 days for this to be resolved  imagine).

Managed to speak to Sky. Engineer has been booked.

If you’re not already aware this is a customer helps customer forum and you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services.

 

Your post is difficult to follow. It just seems to be copies of messages you've sent. Was yesterday (18th) your activation date (as you posted before midnight)? If so is it working this morning?

Hi 

 

I wrote everything in the notes section of my phone and copy/pasted here.

 

No still not working this morning.

 

Need it sorting asap.

Followed a link someone provided on the forum. Doesn't seem to let me check status or connection etc. It did last night, and showed everything was connected on this same page and reported no issues. 

 

- tried to call sky tech team, lines don't open to 9am it said.

Managed to compete the service checker - all greens.
