New hub

Hi guys,

just received my new hub as upgraded from super fast to ultra fast, was told by advisor on phone to plug it straight in, but the hub box says don't connect till activation date, who do I believe 😄

@EddddiieeeeeIf you are going from a Sky Q hub to a Sky Broadband hub then there should be no issues. Just plug nothing into port 4 on the new hub as that is needed for your ultrafast installation.

The new Hub will work with your current Sky connection (ADSL/FTTC).  You won't get the Ultrafast service (and speed) until either Openreach have visited to fit a special master socket faceplate and test the line (G.fast) or they have run a fibre cable into your property and installed an ONT (FTTP).

Believe the activation date. I received my router today. I plugged it into the ONT modem (FTTP) and it's not connected to the Internet. I called Sky in case I get get an earlier activation date and I could not, My activation date is the 14th of September. So that's when it will go live.

@LGUser there is a difference between people upgrading from one Sky broadbsnd service to anothercand your position as a new broadband customer. The advice given was correct for the OP.
