New house says no broadband but next door can connect

We are buying a brand new house and I want sky stream with full fibre. When I put the house number and postcode into the checker it says I can't have it but if I put the house next door (which is occupied) it's fine. Is it because it's a brand new unlived in house

I had a similar experience when FTTP first  came to the estate I live in.

For whatever reason Sky was not showing as available to my property.

Long story short... Checked other ISPs considering price, customer service, reviews, etc. and ended up joining Aquiss (a small ISP) which, while not being cheap(est), has been fault free for 3 years with delivery of advertised speeds at all times.

Sky is now showing as available.

@Dl28 @call Sky as they should be able to check for you. Are you sure the neighbouring property has Openreach fibre aa some developers, notably Persimmons fit  different networks

Thanks I've called sky and they are running a check on the line. The next door neighbour is a BT engineer so yes definitely has a BT super fast line. I'm hoping once sky have run their checks we will be eligible
