New fibre installation costs?

I’m looking at getting fibre to my bungalow, but I need to know how much I could be charged if for some reason the open reach engineer needs to dig up my garden or driveway etc? My drive is shared with a neighbour and I also have a tiled step outside my front door which has my existing BT cable fed up from beneath the tiled step. How much would it cost for all this kind of work as I’m betting the “£10 installation fee” won’t cover it?  We don't have any telegraph poles in our area so we know it's underground. Thanks in advance!

Openreach covers up to £3400 of installation cost at each address as part of the national FTTP rollout.  Where the work is going to cost more than that they are obliged to survey and quote first, for the householder to accept or reject.

Re: New fibre installation costs?

Thankyou so much for such a speedy response! You've put my mind at ease a bit because I was scared I'd be facing a surprise bill for them to install it!
