New broadband fibre installation not working

As sky customers we were contacted about upgrading to sky fibre broadband   This was carried out this morning   Now red light on LOS. We have no internet at all    Engineer can't attend until next week

LOS basicly means there is a loss of signal, check that the green plug on the bottom of the ONT is plugged in correctly, the cable should be undamaged, its easily damaged if it gets bent past 90 degrees. If you do unplug it to re-seat it, do not point the end at your eyes, the invisable laser light that comes out of it is harmul to your eyes.

 

If that is OK then try powering the ONT off and back on again, if the problem is still there you will need an Openreach or City Fibre engineer to fix it. Depending on the product and the area will depend on which company needs to fix. Openreach have a two working day turnaround for faults.

Yes   It worked.   We left house for shopping   Came back and red light on

@Yahoo1966 In addition to the @Waveman advice, you can also have a run at the service checker, that may indicate if sky are aware off an area wide fault by now! Link is below!
