New Sky Hub Max Installed, Slower Speeds

I have recently installed a new sky hub max router in my home. It's been placed in the usual home for the router.

The old sky one worked perfectly fine, but I was told I could get faster speeds with this new one. The speeds on a speed tester are fine, but when loading whatsapp and social media, the speeds are very slow and often they don't reload. 

Is their a period of time this lasts for before settling? If this continues, I would be better off keeping my old router.

@Matieew if speedtests are normal the issue is not with the new connection. However check thecsetting of Sky's Broadband Shield parental filter as that can stop traffic to certain docial networking sites if left on the default setting. Log into the My Sky app using the Dky id linked to the account go to product options and Broadband Shield and check the setting is what your require.
