New FTTP installation delays, can't reach Openreach

So, my sky installation was supposed to go live on 4th of April.

The installation should be pretty straightforward, fttp endpoint is literally inside my garden, they only need to dig 4 mt to the wall through the lawn. Openreach called me and said that they need me to provide them with authorization for work, and that they would be sending me the form to sign up. Well, the form never came.

This is what I am getting from the customerhelp

Hi Alexander, Openreach require permission to work at your or a neighboring property. The permission may be required from The Local Council, Private Landowners or Landlords. If this is not received the order will need to be cancelled. You will receive a text with an update on your order on 11/04/2024

We would like to apologise for the delay however rest assured we are working with Openreach to provide you with a service as soon as possible. Don't worry, your billing for Broadband and Talk won't start until your services have been activated. We're already working hard to get your order back on track, and we'll text you when new updates are available. You can view new updates & messages in here (My messages) We will contact Openreach again and provide you the latest update by 08/04/2024

Hi, just a quick update on your order. Openreach have told us there may be a delay with activating your services. We are working closely with Openreach to identify the work required to provide you with a working service. Don't worry, your billing for Broadband and Talk won't start until your services have been activated. You do not need to contact Sky, we will contact you with a further update on 02/04/2024.

--------------

I've tried to contact Sky only to be told that I need to call up the Openreach and deal with it by myself (which is not really an option since all communications with Openreach must go via ISP).

So, right now I cannot contact Openreach to check if their Indian call centre transcribed my email address correctly or not.

Any suggestions?

Re: New FTTP installation delays, can't reach Openreach

These are notes from BT wholesale about the property if needed

Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Single Dwelling Unit Residential UG partial Direct In Ground.

FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered.

The exchange is not in a current fibre priority programme

As a WLR withdrawal exchange, product restrictions apply

SOADSL is not restricted at the exchange

For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.

For all SOADSL services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.

Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.

In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.

If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service
