I've just purchased a new build house which is not connected to the Internet (there is a pole nearby to connect to).
Before engaging Sky to get broadband, do I need to contact Open Reach to connect the house? or can the sky engineer do this when installing broadband/tv?

If you would like to check that it is also on the BT database which will give you an indication that you can get broadband, use the link below.

Find out more@FilipaJamie Openreach normally dont deal with the end customer as part of their order process Sky place an order with Openreach to run a new line based on what the database tells them is possible. Hopefully thst is straightforward but you wont know if it isnt until the engineer comes to do the job. This applies whatever ISP you go with but where things are not as they should be there can be delays of several weeks while Openreach sort the problem. .
