Hey All,
Wondering if I can get some help... Im due to switch across to Sky 900mb FTTP on Monday... Ive ordered Netgear Orbi WIFI 6 Mesh RBK853 and its arriving on Friday.
Anyone any experience of these? Ive ordered a 3 pack... quite expensive so I am expecting that they are great... do I need to still use the Sky Router for these?
Any advice appreciated.
Robert

You could use them alongside the sky hub but they would just be expensive access points
I do believe in router mode they should be able to directly connect to the ont with the rbr853 authenticating and the rbs853's meshing

It would be great if they connected without the need for the Sky Hub (removes the extra point for slow down).
When they arrive Ill have a look and see if I can get it authenticating with the ONT as I can potentially test on my BT FTTP before Sky take over.

In the uk sky uses a different authentication (dhcp option 61) to BT . In Ireland sky uses the same ie pppoe. But i am sure they will work with all isp's

Hi @Robertb82 - curious if this worked for you? I am due to receive 900mb install in a week and hadn't realised in advance that (unlike virgin) you can't "modem mode" the sky hub. I have the 850 series orbi and keen to know if this works direct to the ONT.

Why not ? Just turn the Wi-Fi ap and broadcast ssid in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz settings
