Need a different phone provider to WiFi provider
So I live with my nan who has a BT landline and I am getting a WiFi contract with sky. I don't use a landline so it be setup, and I don't want her to have to change her provider. Will my WiFi interfere with her contract? Can we have two different providers?

Re: Need a different phone provider to WiFi provider
There's no such thing as a 'WiFi contract with sky': Sky provides terrestrial broadband over copper or optical cabling.
Ordering Sky Broadband will by default either take over the current BT landline or replace it with an optical circuit and VOIP phone service (with a different number)
If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Re: Need a different phone provider to WiFi provider
@Marciwade you cannot have different voice and broadband services on the same Openreach line. To achieve what you want would require Openreach to install a second line which I imagine is going to be chargeable but often is a pretty simple job as the cable connecting the house often has a spare pair of wires.
I would expect your Nan's number to be able to be ported to Sky from BT if you switch providers but check with Sky. However the point about switching from an analogue to digtal voice line is very likely as Openreah decline new orders for analogue voice services on most exchanges.
