My wifi works everywhere in my house but in my room it doesn’t work

When I walk into my room it's almost like the wifi turns off the wifi box isn't far from my room there's nothing blocking the signal

@Gurpage pretty obviously something is blocking the signal or you would get coverage its just you can't identify what.. Wifi signals are attenuated by solid objects the denser the material the more signal is lost. Metal is a complete block so foil faced plasterboard will cut almost all signal. Not joking its how tin foil hats work. A radiator will block direct signals leaving the device working off reflections, etc

A lot also depends on the layout and construction of your home. Wifi routers like Sky hubs are designed to radiate the signal sideways so being above or below a router can mean you are in a null region. Sky only make minimal wifi speed guarantees of 3Mb/s in every room IF you are buying their Boost bundle at £5 a month. That gets you in essence a wifi booster free of charge.

If your room is a dead zone - I have a couple in my own home - and you need a decent connection then powerline.adapters are an option as they use the mains wiring to carry the data. Of coursecwhere you can run an ethernet cable thst is the best and cheapest,

The blackspot in our bedroom causing my wife to miss out on nocturnal Facebook was generated by the immersion tank being directly on the other side of the wall from the headboard and in line with the Hub.

Foolishly I solved this with a BT booster disk on the end of an ethernet run.  We no longer talk...
