My router is very hot and becomes unbearable to touch

The casing of the broadband router is very hot to touch... is there meant to be a fan inside it to keep it cool? Been like this for months but a visitor to my home said thats not normal... did this happen to anyone else and what did sky suggest?

Routers typically don't have fans: I don't think any Sky Hub model does.

Heat may imply that WiFi is struggling.
