My internet is running slow and keeps dropping out all together

Hi sky 

My internet is running really slow and at times is dropping out all together .Normally I have an excellent connection but I noticed bt where in the area laying new fibre ,could you check if this has caused an issue

@kenno15 you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum.

 

You can check your line speed yourself by running the connection test in the My Sky app or website which will show you the speed history forvthe past two weeks. If the app detects a fault it will offer to book an engineer to check the line. Openreach (the part of BT who manage the network) wont always intervene when a line is running a bit slower but is still above the guaranteed minimum speed as the systems that manage the line are designed to sort issues. While the work maybecthe causecit is more likely due to the very wet weather recently.
