This is affecting all ISPs so the switch to sky wasn't necessary a mistake.  BT/Open reach run where the injections go and that is the bit that is down.   A large organisation like BT should auto fail over to backup equipment, even a manual switch over should be minutes not days.

@Grants2025 There must be a major problem on the routing side for all the Broadband connected devices to the Exchange, so whatever the fault is that is for OR Openreach to sort out if it is there Equipment, if it is an ISP's particular piece off hardware then if OR are tasked with looking after it they will, if not in sky's case then upto them to get the specialist's required!

A simplified view of how broadband works, the Main Distribution Frame is where the issues are which is why it is impacting properties across all ISPs served from the Chesterfield exchange (01246 area code)

Customer Property with Openreach ONT communicates with the Openreach OLT in the exhange (via fibre cables in the streets). This is working normally.

Openreach OLT communicates with your ISPs Hardware (BT, Sky, Vodafone, TalkTalk etc) in the exchange via the BT owned Main Distribution Frame. This main distrubtion frame has the problems and your internet requests are being lost in the Chesterfield exchange.
