My first month bill was accurate yet my second bill was £15 more than the first. Why is that?

I took my SKY broadband contract in June. My first month's bill was correct at £32 as agreed but then my second bill has exceeded £45 and now I'm back at £32 for this month. I'm a bit confused as no one told me there would different charges and I started it from the day of my BT running out so there shouldn't of been any overlap.

Your first couple of Sky bills are sometimes higher than you expected due to the date period they cover (ie: it may cover over a month). Also, you pay a month in advance and your service(s) may have been activated at different times. New discounted deals usually also include a £10 admin fee (per discount) which will increase your payment. Check your future bills to see if they match up to the amount you are expecting. Once you have gone through two billing cycles you can change your payment date to one that suits better if you want.

INFORMATION FOR SKY+ USERS: From 29th October 2024 you will no longer be able to pair your viewing card to a Sky+/Sky+HD box that the card is not already paired to, so if your Sky box fails you can’t replace it and you'll need to move to either Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream to access Sky content
