my connection used to fantastic when I had Sky TV however due to costs and access to Apps on my smart tv I cancelled my TV subscription but kept my broadband. To get broadband guaranteed I was told I had to buy an additional package for £32 per month but I don't see any improvement, it's so slow and making working from home extremely challening plus daily online tasks near impossible. Please can someone share any solutions/ experiences?

One typical cause is that giving up Q television loses the additional WiFi coverage provided by the television boxes.
If you post your Hub stats, we'll have some information about your particular phone line and internet connection to work with.
Note that it's speed arriving at the Hub which counts against the minimum speed guarantee, not speed test website results on a wireless device.
