My broadband is slower than the guaranteed minimum standard

My broadband is slower than the guaranteed minimum standard and has been about 15 days out 0f 30. he highest it has acheived is 48.1.

 

How do i get this sorted out?

 

I never really needed the fastest broadband and in previous years the same phone line has been nearer a steady 70mb

I will also add  - trying to get help on sky help isnt any good.....

@Jon654321 Ring Sky on 150 and explain what you've seen. You are able to leave your contract without penalty if the speed is below the promised speed for a certain period. 

 

I did this myself last year but it was Sky who emailed me saying I could terminate penalty free. 

 

I switched to Vodafone. Sky were the worst ISP I've had. I'd never use them again for broadband.

I don't really want to leave sky to be honest. I was with them for 10 years or so and always had about 70mb and not on any special broadband package and the wires all remain the same.  It just seems they've throttled it back on purpose.

Maybe it'll just be free broadband for me until then keep meet the guaranteed standards?

@Jon654321 Something you'll have to discuss with Sky. I'm not telling you to leave Sky, just relating that if it isn't fixed you are able to leave without penalty if the speed has been below the guaranteed speed for a certain period. 

 

I appreciate everyone has different experiences with Broadband providers. My own with Sky was awful. No regret about switching from them at all.

@Jon654321 Then run the service checker to confirm what the speeds are over the last 30 day's, the diagnostic to see if it finds any fault.

Nothing found then you need to call sky to sse if there enhanced test can find anything. If you wish to post your hub stat's can be taken a look at!

Hi  Jim

 

Those are the tests that i did and it says Speed to your Hub  = Poor

 

As said nothing has changed with my wired connection to the house or inside.   It just seems like now i have been away from sky for 18 months and come back they've done something to make my connection slower... 

 

I'm am more or less continuously about 47mb  (i sense something dodgy)
