Find out more@DG47 appreciate it is frustrating but there many tens of millions of Openreach lines in the country and at any time several tens of thousands will have faults and unfortunately yours is one of them this weekend it is bad luck. Sky one of many isps that use the Openreach network so if you previous ISP used the same line the fault would have happened even if you had stayed with them and the repair would take the same time.
Openreach set SLAs for repairing line faults which for domestic lines is to repair within 2 working days after report or you are due compensation. What you use the line for doesn't matter as to Sky and Openreach it is a domestic connection. If you pay for a business connection the SLA is better but you will pay significantly more.
