I am moving to Sky Broadband from TalkTalk, and already have a wifi extender for my SKY Q box to a mini box using a seperate network (prefixed with SKY) as the signal was very poor in the room the mini box is in. I have been told there will be no site visit and the router will just be sent to me with instructions, so can I integrate this properly into the new SKY Network, so it would act as an extender for all internet traffic , or do I just connect it to the new network, and have 2 seperate SKY Networks at home?

@bobcott That is the perfect combo, SR203 and SE210, the "a" is just a drop off the Ethernet port on that booster...
Only decision you have to make is how many devices you wish to change, ie ssid as TT or ssid as Sky, with the sky name it is easier, split the bands, do what is needed and back it all up to a file, keep the file safe for the YOU need to do a factory reset from sky somewhere down the line

Re: Moving to Sky B/band and already have wifi extender for my SKY Q box to a mini box on seperate n
@bobcott Then the Sky Broadband Hub SR203 is fully mesh compatable with the sky Q and the mini, still depends on a good signal though and if you have booster problems with the one you have the SE210 normally sorts it all out!
You can do and try all the options that are needed, Tips above will help should you run into any problems!
Single or split networking, seperate networking names all up to you, and how the hub works in the home! Fact you have done it before looks like you know what you are doing, and with my old SR/SE combo although now retired to there boxes, run split band and Q no problems when i had it all!

Re: Moving to Sky B/band and already have wifi extender for my SKY Q box to a mini box on seperate n
Hi,
Thanks very much for the very detailed & useful response.
I understand the "split or not" argument and how to do it etc. , but am not totally clear how to setup the router and SKY kit as a mesh network. The extender was actually installed by SKY, when they fitted the new dish etc , but I am fairly sure there is a "seperate" mesh network containing the SKY Q box, the wifi extender and the mini box which then connects to the TT router. When I go over to SKY broadband I am not sure how to setup the router to connect to this (if that is the best option?), as I assume the router will have a different network name (SSID), and would it best to change it, or change the existing one?
Hope this makes sense and thanks again.

@bobcott Take a look at the two links below about the equipment, say which sky booster you have!. Will let you see the hub you are getting on the first link!

The model no is SE210A, and it looks similar to the sky max hub, although it identifies as a "SKY Booster 4" on the settings pages.
