Morning
I currently have sky super fast and today I cut out at my old address as sky said.
they said I need an engineer out but that's over 2 weeks away from now . Surely the wifi should just plug in at the other end and work ?

Openreach who operate the network Sky use have to do configuration work at the exchange and the local street cabinet to connect the phone line at your new address to to Sky's network. Openreach have a standard 14 day lead time which maybe longer currently as Openreach engineers are staging a series of one day strikes.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any other way round it do you know ? Or because it doesn't currently have a line I'm goosed.
feel quite dissapointed in this aswell as checked my email the sky team changed the date for the engineer by 11 days that was agreed on the phone

thats fair enough but think due to the time scales sky could offer some sort of service either through a dongle ?

Find out moreI'd suggest it's 'bad service' not to make the inherent lead times clearer to customers (many of who assume broadband provision follows their router around the cabled telephone network in the same way that a cellular device apparently functions). Given the extremely thin profit margin which an ISP typically makes from any individual subscription, the likelihood of them doing much more than that is pretty slim too.

So I'm guessing this wasn't arranged through a Sky's Home Move and giving them at least 2-3 weeks notice of the move?
