Re: Motorola phone connected to WiFi, not ours!

OK, I’ll put my hand up and admit I’m not currently a Sky customer.

I’m currently with BT and this issue has come up a number of times there.  Apparently, BT are recycling returned hubs and sending them out to new customers without a factory reset, so the old data from the previous customer is still there & causing this type of confusion.

If this is a replacement hub, I wonder if Sky are doing the same?

The other big culprit is devices using MAC randomisation.  They generate a new MAC each time they connect and the hub thinks it is a new device.

@Giggsy1977 You have not had it 10 years, may seem like it but if i remember 2019 was the push date on the SR203 as the newly super-dooper at that time.

It's not mine, it's my folks. They have been with Sky a while so was a (rough) estimate! 🙂

@Giggsy1977 Just glad you are able to help them out, lot off stuff remembered by hubs, that they keep hidden away and there is no need to display until the hub throws the wobble and the head scratching begins. Pinch off salt approach sometimes needs to be applied.🤔👍
