Mobile disconnects from WiFi overnight

For the past three mornings I have had to re-sign in to WiFi on my mobile phone (Samsung A33 5g). None of my other WiFi connected products (tablet, smart plugs/speakers etc) are affected and remain connected. It is just the phone and my wife's phone (same model) is also affected. Previously to the past three days I haven't had a problem. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

@Spionfox check that the phone is set to trust your home wifi connection as a secure network.where the setting is varies.

Re: Mobile disconnects from WiFi overnight

We are also having this issue in our house. All four mobiles disconnect overnight and do not automatically reconnect. Nothing else that is connected to the WiFi is affected. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? It's been happening for the last 5 days now.

  • Thanks for reply, but didn't resolve problem. I notice that another person is also experiencing this issue so could be a Sky issue?

Re: Mobile disconnects from WiFi overnight

My Samsung does the same, very likely due to the current issue where router firmware is changing every night, so the phone thinks it's a "new" router and needs user permission to reconnect.
