Miss sold WiFi upgrade,l

My contract expired and I was offered a new one with the latest router, the new router arrived and it is terrible, none of my Sky Q boxes can connect, my other smart home items such as Ring Canada's, Sonos etc won't connect.... I called the technician who tried to help over the phone but nothing really worked.... I'm not computer minded but it's like bother would recognise the new Router, could it be my line into the house doesn't support the latest router,

I've resorted to plugging the old one back in and everything is working fine again after resetting everything back to this router, of which all products found this router straight away...

@Mf25

Your new hub will have came with a new wifi password so it could be this that is causing the issue so you either need to set up all your devices again and have them connect to your new Sky hub using the new password or you need to login to this new one and change the password to the same one that old one was using.

This link explains how to locate the password on your old and new hub:

Easiest way to get ring camera to connect when upgrading to the max hub is to change the wireless ssid and password in the app to that of the old hub, my ring doorbell and floodlight cam connected with no problems

@Mf25 Ring camera is going to struggle in two places with the Sky Max hub, number 1. will be if the wireless wi-fi signal is not as good as the older SR203 hub and number 2. it will not like the WPA mode of the sky Max so it will need to be pegged back to WPA2-PSK and that can only be adjusted with the app to the hub.

You did right by swapping back to the Older SR203, for that and also for the sky Q at the same time, my advice keep the older hub, call up sky and tell them they can have the Max back as it is not suitable or working at all with your equipment....

The Sky Broadband Hub is the one just in case you do have the older Sky Q, and any sky booster's would be better to be the Sky Broadband booster, Links below for you!
