Hi,
Ive been struggling to set up a mesh. I've already returned the deco6e and now have the ASUS zen ax4 minis. The network is set up but I have no internet as the pppoe has failed.
I've tried the 'anything@skydsl anything' for username and password.
when I try to connect to dhcp it just goes into a screen asking for DNS details but I haven't found anything on there either.
The main ASUS device is plugged directly into the open reach wall fibre port.
photos attached.
any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also when I connect to dhcp as other threads suggest then this happens if I don't add dns info in.

If you are in the UK then the authentication is DHCP (automatic) with DHCP Option 61 and an authentication DHCP Option 61 field of 'anything@skydsl|anything' without the single quotes which is in the WAN section of the Asus router interface. PPPoE is incorrect that you have set up currently.

Hello,
thanks for responding. I have done the setup with the ASUS mobile app.
those don't seem to be options in the setup area.
I am in the UK, it just asks for DNS as soon as you click DHCP. If I skip then it'll accept it but you can see the screenshots, nothing happens.
sorry, I am basically a complete novice here!

You should be setting automatic IP and you'll need to do the settings via a web browser by logging into the router that way.

It's now found a WAN IP on dhcp but still no internet access.
I'll try and work out how to connect to it via a we browser now then, thanks.

It is an automatic IP in the WAN setup, and you must leave the router off for about half an hour with the ONT off also, then connect it back up and power on with the authentication DHCP Option 61 field and DHCPv6 PD which Asus supports in the IPv6 section from the web interface at HTTP://192.168.1.1 for the Asus.

You would be better to do this with a Ethernet connected to the Asus and Laptop etc,
The asus site has realy good documentation to get to the router for web interface,
can be a bit of a nightmare if trying to do it over wireless WiFi.
Also the Asus app, is really good, but that is down to your mobile....
Good Luck

Asus router can be set via wireless without any issue whatsoever, have done so with mine many times in the past and currently. Firmware updates are best done over a wired ethernet connection but again I haven't found an issue doing so over 5Ghz wireless either with Asus routers they are that good. 😎

Hi all,
all sorted now! It was the fact that I wasn't setting up via advanced settings in a web browser.
thanks for all the help and patience. It wasn't very clear how to get to the web browser settings if you've not done it before!
