Shouldn't make any difference as far as i know. Are sky going to say they aren't going to send out openreach to fix broadband because its not svbn. I am the same not only did they fix my line . Openreach replaced the mastersocket.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@cookiemonsteruk If the customer is asking for a master socket move, it should not matter if they are part of the Sky broadband network. With some exchanges that is not possible.
There will be a charge to have it moved.

So to clarify @BillyLenny1 will be able to have it moved regardless of not being part off svbn. ? I thought as much but haven't a clue what the agent was thinking. Many thanks
@BillyLenny1 As far as i know its still £65 for a mastersocket move. Call sky again

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@cookiemonsterukThe customer @BillyLenny1 is havin to pay Sky for the master socket move who in turn ask Openreach to do the work. Really it is just the end point and should not matter to the ISP, they are the one's who contact Openreach for their customer.

Find out more@BillyLenny1When you call through and asked the nature of the call say " Technical ", the advisor should be able to help you with that master socket relocation. You already know that there is a charge for this service. So just getting Openreach to come out to do it, through speaking with Sky.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@BillyLenny1 That would be a shock to others who might not be on the SVBN line, as not all exchanges have the capacity or slots to have Sky equipment in and so borrow them from Openreach. All you are doing is contacting your ISP for the service of which you are being asked to pay £65 for this service to be done on your behalf.
But also as they say if you need to move provider to get the work done and can get it done by your new provider upon signing up, then that is what you would have to look at. But still can't understand why it can't be done.

yes it seems ridiculous to me all isp rent/borrow from Openreach except maybe virgin or any other supplier that has it own network .
i don't mind having to pay i just need it moving as it is in such a stupid place 15 CM down from the ceiling in the livingroom so the wires hang down the wall .
iI have put a complaint in with SKY don't know if that will get me any where if not i will go to ofcom to see if they can help .
I will let you know what or if anything happens .
Thank you @Highlinder & @cookiemonsteruk for your advice.
