Making WI-Fi calls with my mobile phone

I am considering moving to Sky from Virgin Media.

The mobile phone signal in my house is not good therefore my iphone is set up to make phone wi-fi calls via the Virgin broadband.

Is it possible to do this on sky broadband - it is ultrafast package that I am looking at.

@Chrissy99  If your phone has Wi-Fi calling it should work as it does now.

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: Making WI-Fi calls with my mobile phone

The reason I am asking is because I am getting conflicting information from Sky. When I called to find out what deals they could offer me I was told wIfi calling would be possible. However then I saw a post somewhere saying someone wasnt able to make wifi calls. I sent a message to Sky and first reply I got back was that no I wouldn't be able to. I replied asking why, they then sent me a link saying that they were possible with a compatible phone (which mine is according to their list. However, there is a not that also states that if the phone was not purchaed from them it might not work.

Ideally I would like to know if you have experience of being able to make wifi calls using a phone not purchased from virgin and not on the virgin mobile network (mine is an iphone and I am on o2, phone was purchased directly from apple).

Re: Making WI-Fi calls with my mobile phone

@Chrissy99 Wifi calling is not affected by the service provider/ISP of the wifi/broadband connection, it will work with any ISP.

The mobile network provider must support it, along with the phone/handset. O2 have supported it for a while, and the iPhones have for years. When I was still with Sky, and have been with O2 for ages, it worked perfectly ok (my cell signal is crap at my property 🙄).
